In November 2025, GEOMAP S.A. conducted a technical training session focused on the safe and efficient use of the STIHL TS 420 power saw, which was recently added to our equipment inventory for rock cutting and sampling tasks in the field, as part of mining and Oil & Gas projects.
The session brought together all personnel involved in these operations, with the aim of ensuring comprehensive knowledge of risks, preventive measures, and best operating practices.
As a result of the training process, two GEOMAP operators obtained their Cutter credentials after passing the corresponding practical and theoretical evaluations.
This certification is a key requirement for ensuring the technical competence, safety, and precision necessary for geological sampling tasks.
During the course, safe operating procedures were developed and validated, which will be formally incorporated into our management system.
This new rock cutting service for field sampling, along with its operating procedure, will be presented at the January 2025 audit to expand the scope of the ISO 9001:2015 (AR-0240599) and ISO 14001:2015 (AR-0240600) certifications, granted by Bureau Veritas Certification.
