Alejandra Dalenz Farjat Honored by the Argentine Paleontological Association

We are delighted to announce that the Argentine Paleontological Association (APA) has awarded the “Dr. Osvaldo Reig” Prize to the paper “Lower Devonian Diachronic Scaphiocoelia Biofacies in Western Gondwana,” published in volume 61(1) of Ameghiniana.

This recognition—awarded by unanimous decision of the jury—highlights the scientific contribution of its authors: Alejandra Dalenz Farjat, Mario Suárez Riglos, Oscar López Paulsen, Ramiro Suárez Soruco, Miguel A. Pérez Leyton, José Luis Ortiz, and Giovanni Ríos.

The Argentine Paleontological Association (APA) established the “Dr. Osvaldo Reig” Award to honor the author or authors of the most outstanding paleontological article and/or note published during the year in the volumes of the journals Ameghiniana and the APA Electronic Publication (PE-APA).

The announcement of the decision and the official award ceremony took place during the APA’s Ordinary General Assembly on November 28, 2025, at the Sala Mayo (Martín Miguel de Güemes and Dr. Alfonsín, Paraná, Entre Ríos), as part of the 13th APA Congress.

At Geomap S.A., we especially celebrate Alejandra Dalenz Farjat, a geologist at our company, for this achievement, which reflects her talent, dedication, and contribution to the scientific community.

Congratulations to the entire team on this well-deserved recognition!
