GEOMAP participated in the XIX Argentine Sedimentology Meeting (RAS 2025), held in Córdoba under the slogan “Sedimentology in the Age of Data Science.”
During the meeting, our Director Juan Ignacio Hernandez presented the paper “High-Resolution Sequence Stratigraphy: Multiple Approaches and Proxies for Predictive Geology,” a joint development by GEOMAP – Petrobras project aimed at interpreting overlapping 3D paleogeographies and predicting permo-porous facies applied to Oil & Gas, CCUS, and lithium brines. He also had the honor of moderating Technical Session 9: Sedimentology and Exploration/Exploitation of Natural and Energy Resources, alongside Gustavo Vergani.

We are also proud to support the participation of Dr. Alejandra Dalenz Farjat, invited by the National University of Córdoba to give a talk on “Paleontology in the Oil Industry”, a valuable contribution on the role of the discipline in exploration and development projects.
Prior to the conference, GEOMAP professionals participated in pre-RAS courses, reinforcing our commitment to continuous training and technical updating. These opportunities for training and scientific participation invite us to reflect on the importance of continuing education and the collective impact it generates. Each individual learning experience contributes to expanding the team’s capabilities, strengthening the potential of the services we provide both in the field of SMEs and in projects with large corporations.
We would like to thank the Argentine Association of Sedimentology and the organizing committee for creating this space for high-level scientific exchange and meeting, and all our colleagues who shared this new edition of the RAS with us.
GEOMAP remains committed to innovation, training, and collaboration in the field of applied geosciences.
